Canadian deer are so polite they even obey traffic signs

There’s so much to love about Canada — it’s probably the only place in the world where people say “sorry” for no reason; where ordinary citizens step up to rescue furry creatures from Tim Hortons’ cups and where drivers actually stop, look and listen at stop signs.

But it isn’t every day you see a deer, or any animal for that matter, behaving like a model citizen. Luckily for us, Redditor Bronsta captured video evidence that proves even animals can have Canadian spirit. In the video, an entire family of deer can be seen stopping at a traffic sign in Fernie, British Columbia before prancing across the road — an empty road.

“[I] see stuff like this almost every morning in esquimalt,” one Reddit user commented.

Maybe there’s something in the water we drink or in the food we eat that makes us Canadians so polite. Well, whatever it is, there’s one thing we can now be certain about: even the wild animals in Canada are instinctively polite.
